Leviticus 18 – Verses from Leviticus 18 of the book of Leviticus of the Bible.
1 The Lord said to Moses:
2 “Tell the Israelites this: I am the Lord, your God.
3 Do not act as you do in Egypt, where you lived, nor as you do in the land of Canaan, where I am taking you. Do not follow their practices.

4 Practice my ordinances, obey my decrees, and follow them. I am the Lord, your God.
5 Obey my decrees and ordinances, for the man who practices them will live by them. I am the Lord.
6 “No one will be allowed to approach a close relative to have sexual involvement with her. I am the Lord.
7 “Do not dishonor your father by becoming sexually involved with your mother. She is your mother; Don't get sexually involved with her.
8 “Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor his father.
9 “Do not have sexual relations with your sister, your father's or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in the same house or elsewhere.
10 “Do not have sexual relations with your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter; that would dishonor you.
11 “Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father's wife, sired by your father; is she your sister.
12 “Do not have sexual relations with your father's sister; She is a close relative of your father.
13 “Don’t get involved sexually with your mother’s sister; She is a close relative of your mother.
14 “Do not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife and having sexual relations with her; Is she your aunt.
15 “Do not get sexually involved with your daughter-in-law. She is your son's wife; Don't get sexually involved with her.
16 “Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would dishonor his brother.
17 “Do not get sexually involved with a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter; they are close relatives. It's perversity.
18 “Do not take your wife's sister as a wife and make her a rival by becoming sexually involved with her while your wife is still alive.
19 “Do not approach a woman to have sexual intercourse with her when she is in the impurity of her menstruation.
20 “Do not lie with your neighbor's wife and defile yourself with her.
21 “Do not hand over your children to be sacrificed to Molech. Do not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.
22 “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; It's disgusting.
23 “Do not have sexual relations with an animal, contaminating yourself with it. No woman shall stand before an animal to join it; it is depravity.
24 “Do not defile yourselves with any of these things, for in this way the nations whom I am about to expel from your presence have defiled themselves.
25 Even the land was contaminated; and I punished their iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.
26 But you will obey my decrees and my laws. Neither the native of the land nor the foreigner residing among you will do any of these abominations,
27 for all these abominations were committed by those who lived in this land before you; so the land became contaminated.
28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out, as it vomited out the people who were there before you.
29 “Whoever does any of these abominations, those who do so will be cut off from among their people.
30 Obey my precepts, and do not practice the disgusting customs that were practiced before you, nor defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord, your God.”
