Adverts

“Make the tabernacle with ten inner curtains of finely woven linen and blue, purple and red thread, and have cherubim embroidered on them.

All internal curtains will have the same measurement: twelve meters and sixty centimeters long and one meter and eighty centimeters wide.

Attach five of these inner curtains together and do the same with the other five.

Adverts

Make loops of blue fabric along the edge of the inner curtain at the end of the first set of inner curtains; the same will be done to the inner curtain at the end of the other set.

Make fifty loops on one inner curtain and fifty loops on the inner curtain at the end of the other set, so that the loops will be opposite each other.

Also make fifty gold clasps with which to fasten the inner curtains one to the other, so that the tabernacle may be one whole.

“With a total of eleven inner curtains of goats’ hair make a tent to cover the tabernacle.

The eleven internal curtains will be the same size: thirteen and a half meters long and six feet wide.

Attach five inner curtains to one side and also the other six to the other side. Fold the sixth inner curtain at the front of the tent in half.

Make fifty loops along the edge of the inner curtain at the end of the first set of curtains, and also along the edge of the inner curtain on the other set.

Then make fifty bronze clasps and place them in the loops to hold the tent together as a whole.

As for the excess length of the inner curtains of the tent, the remaining half inner curtain will be hung at the back of the tabernacle.

The ten inner curtains will be eighteen inches longer on each side; and what remains will be hung on both sides of the tabernacle to cover it.

Also make a covering of sheepskin dyed red for the tent, and over this a covering of leather.

“Make upright frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle.

Each frame will be four and a half meters long and seventy centimeters wide,

with two fittings parallel to each other. All the frames of the tabernacle must be made in this manner.

Make twenty frames for the south side of the tabernacle

and forty sockets of silver under them: two sockets for each frame, one under each socket.

For the other side, the north side of the tabernacle, make twenty frames

and forty silver bases, two under each frame.

Make six frames for the west side of the tabernacle,

and two frames at the back, in the corners.

The frames in these two corners will be double, from the bottom to the top, placed on a single ring; both will be like this.

Thus, there will be eight frames and sixteen silver bases, two under each frame.

“Also make bars of acacia wood: five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,

five for those on the other side and five for those on the west side, at the back of the tabernacle.

The center crossbar will extend from one end to the other between the frames.

Cover the frames with gold and make gold rings to support the bars, which will also have to be covered with gold.

“Make the tabernacle according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain.

“Make a veil of finely woven linen and blue, purple and red thread, and have cherubs embroidered on it.

Hang it with golden hooks on four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold and set in four silver bases.

Hang the veil by the clasps and place the ark of the covenant behind the veil. The veil will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

Place the lid over the ark of the covenant in the Most Holy Place.

Place the table outside the veil, on the north side of the tabernacle; and the lampstand in front of it, on the south side.

“For the entrance to the tent, make a curtain of finely woven linen and blue, purple and red thread, the work of an embroiderer.

Make gold hooks for this curtain and five pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold. Have five bronze bases cast for them. “
