“Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death. So the Jews said to him:
Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham and the prophets died; and you say: If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.
Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets also died. Who do you make yourself to be? Jesus replied:

If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing; He who glorifies me is my Father, who you say is your God.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day
As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
