Apascenta as minhas ovelhas. Disse-lhe terceira vez: Simão, filho de Jonas, amas-me? Simão entristeceu-se por lhe ter dito terceira vez:
Amas-me? E disse-lhe: Senhor, tu sabes tudo; tu sabes que eu te amo. Jesus disse-lhe: Apascenta as minhas ovelhas.
Truly, truly, I tell you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked wherever you wanted; But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will gird you and carry you where you do not want to go.
And he said this, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when he had said this, he said to him, Follow me“.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day
As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
