“On his way to Jerusalem, Jesus passed through the border between Samaria and Galilee.

As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him. They stayed at a distance

and they cried out in a loud voice: “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us! ”
When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were purified.

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, praising God with a loud voice.

He prostrated himself at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. This was a Samaritan.
Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?

Was there not one found who returned and gave praise to God, except this foreigner? ” Then he said to him, “Get up and go; his faith saved him.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
