From Adam to Noah
1This is the record of Adam's descent:
When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God;

3At the age of 130, Adam fathered a son in his likeness, according to his image; and he named him Seth.
4After he fathered Seth, Adam lived 800 years and fathered other sons and daughters.

7After he fathered Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and fathered other sons and daughters.
8He lived a total of 912 years and died.
9At the age of 90, Enosh fathered Cainan.
10After he fathered Cainan, Enosh lived 815 years and fathered other sons and daughters.
11He lived a total of 905 years and died.
12At the age of 70, Cainan fathered Mahalaleel.
13After he fathered Mahalaleel, Cainan lived 840 years and fathered other sons and daughters.
14He lived a total of 910 years and died.
15At the age of 65, Maalaleel gave birth to Jared.
16After he fathered Jared, Mahalaleel lived 830 years and fathered other sons and daughters.

18At 162 years old, Jared fathered Enoch.

26After he fathered Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and fathered other sons and daughters.
27He lived a total of 969 years and died.
28At the age of 182, Lamech fathered a son.
29He named him Noah and said, “He will relieve us of our labor and the suffering of our hands caused by the ground that the Lord has cursed.”
30After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and fathered other sons and daughters.
31He lived a total of 777 years and died.
32At 500 years old, Noah had fathered Shem, Ham and Japheth.
