Lord, your right hand was majestic in power. Lord, your right hand has torn the enemy to pieces.

In your grand triumph, you overthrew your adversaries. You sent your flaming fury, which consumed them like chaff.

By the strong breath of your nostrils the waters came together. The turbulent waters stood like a wall; the deep waters froze in the heart of the sea.

The enemy boasted: 'I will pursue them and overtake them, I will divide the spoil and devour them. With sword in hand, I will destroy them. '

But you sent your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the voluminous waters.

Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is similar to you? Majestic in holiness, terrible in glorious deeds, author of wonders?

You stretch out your right hand and the earth swallows them.

With your love you lead the people you rescued; with your strength you lead him to your holy dwelling.

The nations hear and tremble; anguish grips the people of Philistia.

 The leaders of Edom are terrified, the powerful of Moab are seized with trembling, the people of Canaan faint;

terror and fear fall upon them; By the power of your arm they are paralyzed like stone, until your people pass by, O Lord, until the people you purchased pass by.

You will bring him in and plant him in the mountain of your inheritance, in the place, O Lord, that you have made for your dwelling, in the sanctuary, O Lord, that your hands have established.

 The Lord will reign forever.”

When Pharaoh's horses, chariots, and horsemen entered the sea, the Lord caused the waters of the sea to overturn them, but the Israelites crossed the sea on dry land.

Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine and all the women followed her, playing tambourines and dancing.

And Miriam answered them, singing: “Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously. He threw the horse and its rider into the sea.”

Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea to the desert of Shur. For three days they walked in the desert without finding water.

Then they came to Marah, but they could not drink the water there because it was bitter. This is the reason why the place is called Mara.

And the people began to complain to Moses, saying, “What shall we drink? “

Moses cried out to the Lord, and he showed him a bush. He threw him into the water, and it became good. In Marah the Lord gave them laws and ordinances, and put them to the test,

saying to them, “If you pay attention to the Lord your God and do what he approves, if you listen to his commandments and obey all his decrees, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord who heals them.”

Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees; and they camped by those waters.
