Do not have gold or silver or copper in your belts,
Neither saddlebags for the journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for the worker is worthy of his food.

And whatever city or village you enter, find out who is worthy there, and stay there until you leave.

And when you enter any house, greet it; And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

And if no one receives you or listens to your words, when you leave that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

Truly I tell you, on the day of judgment it will be less severe for the country of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that city

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
