“And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through your name.

And he said unto them, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and all the strength of the enemy, and nothing shall harm you.

But do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you; rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

At that same time Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said:

I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, who hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children; It is so, O Father, because it has pleased You.

Everything for my Father was given; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, nor who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

And turning to his disciples, he said to them privately: Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.

For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it; and hear what you hear, and they did not hear it.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
