Prayer for rest in Christ

And he said unto them, Come and rest a little by yourself in a lonely place; because they did not even have time to eat, because there were so many people coming and going. Mark 6:31

Lord God, I thank you for privilege of picking you up every day, I know you are with me at all times, alone worthy of all honor, glory and praise. First of all, I ask forgiveness if I have committed any fault, other than those I confessed to you. I look for you now, at this moment, because I am sure that Only you I find refuge, one God, great in majesty and power.

In my busy life, Father, I seek to serve you. But I need more time and communion with you, I need to be before your altar, I want to live in your holy atmosphere. My rest must be the Lord, beloved and blessed Father. I want to be in the arm of Christ, I want to rest in your holy presence, I want to rest in calm waters, I wish to see your face and worship you in moments of stillness.

Holy Father, help me to be like Christ was, he took advantage of moments in the desert to be only with you. The rush of life affects my spiritual life, I miss your voice continually, I feel like I need to spend more time with you, resting in prayer, resting in study and meditation on your word. I want, Lord, to rest in your arms, I want to desire your will for my life at all times.

Help me Lord God, separate me to do your will, help me make the right decisions. For this, Father, I need the moment of rest at your side. What's the point oh God, if I ask for your answer in prayer, when after saying amen I don't wait a few minutes to hear your voice?. The rush of life, the hectic moments prevent us from hearing your voice more properly.

God, help me to come to you, help me to hear your voice whispering in my ears and saying: my son, I am at your side, because I am your God, your shield, the one who keeps you and who will not fail. I know you love me, that's why you invite me to rest in green pastures, I know you want to give me rest in my mind, strength in my daily struggles, so give me Lord, help me, my God, Be it the rock that shelters your servant, be it the water that satisfies me, be my eternal shelter.

Lord, I want to rest in a deserted place, where your presence fills my heart, where your light brightens any darkness, where I can find the corner of my renewal. Thus, Lord, I will be able to renew myself like the eagle through your Holy Spirit, I will be prepared for another day of battle, I will be able to sanctify myself for daily struggles, I will be able to face the enemy with Christ as my faithful redeemer, my true witness, my faithful shepherd and friend.

So God, I will learn more from you, I will trust your word even more, my faith will be renewed and there will be no trouble for me, because the Lord renewed me when I sought to rest in your holy presence.

Be my rest, my daily search, be my sanctification. May the blood of Christ cover me, in the name of my beloved Jesus. Amen!
