My eternal Father, I thank you in advance for the opportunity to be with you with this prayer of rest. Without a doubt, the Lord calls us to His rest in the face of all the afflictions that happen in the world, of my sins and purifies me daily. Help me always see the Lord preparing a place for me to bow my head and have Your peace.

So do to me what you wish and help me to walk straight without looking back. I will surely rest in peace on my bed because I know that Christ will be by my side. So let grace and praise be given to Your most high name, for the Lord cares for every person on this earth and desires to save each one.
I thank the Lord for your protection and security because the Lord sends all the angels around us to protect us from the evil one. So in this prayer of rest I want to first place my head on the shoulders of my savior. There I want to feel the hand of Christ showing your immense love and affection.
In you, my God, I have a restorative rest that makes me recover from the battles of life. So in you I will rest, I will feel the warmth of your Holy Spirit igniting in me the faith and hope that exists only in Christ. So within me my heart will be more and more open to your purpose, following the fight of faith.

What would become of me without the Lord? Without a doubt I would be like those who are going to be lost. However, I accepted your eternal salvation, and then Grace embraced me and did an immense work. That is why I am here before you, seeking you with this prayer and obtaining the light that comes from your throne of grace.
So do with me what you think is best, put me in your rest, give me rest. That way I could obtain all the renewal I need for the daily struggle. So may the Lord hear this prayer for rest and make me rest in a reserved corner that he has prepared for me.
That every time problems overwhelm me, my patience runs out and discouragement comes to grip me, I will rest in you. So help me to feel your care, rest also gently on each of my family members and help them recognize this too. Then they can find rest for their restless souls..
I will rest in your arm of mercy because there I will have rest from the earthly poison. In this way I will be able to get away from everything that is contaminated with earthly odor, then at least for a minute I will feel a heavenly peace.
I will never stop seeking You with this prayer of rest because I know You hear every word I say. Surely You know my entire mind and I want to fulfill your purpose in my life at all times.
