Be sober; watch; because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour; Which I resist, steadfast in faith, knowing that the same afflictions are happening among your brothers in the world. 1 Peter 5:8,9
My beloved God, in this prayer of vigilance I come to the Lord being grateful for everything he has done in my life. So I make myself available to you for everything you want me to do. Before you I deposit my desires, my weaknesses and anxieties.

I know, my Father, that the seed of corruption is within me, I know that with the power that comes from you I can walk in your path. This way the enemy takes advantage to tempt me and keep me away from you, but come purify me and keep me in the living faith of the cross of Calvary.
Before you I want to place my supplications by saying this prayer of vigilance so as not to fall into temptation. Because if on one side there is a powerful enemy around, I have the Lord who has unlimited power. Then come save me from the clutches of the angel of death and come and support me in the face of difficulties.
If the Lord Jesus told Peter to watch so as not to fall into temptation because the spirit is ready, but the flesh is weak, then I want to watch. So daily I will place my life in your hands so that May the Lord come and shape my character, prepare me for eternity.

So I always want to seek you with this prayer of vigilance because I know that bad days are at hand. That's why give me all the power I need to overcome the evil one and all the works of darkness. How good it is to know that the Lord is by my side, listening to me and giving me your saving grace.
So in Jesus I will remain sober and vigilant knowing that my adversary does not rest at any time. That's why I ask you to guard me when I'm awake and when I'm sleeping. So also, guard me when I am walking or when I am sitting. In the same way guard my thoughts and my mouth from the evil that I may utter.
I will stand firm in faith as it is written in 1 Peter 5. That is why I place myself in this prayer of vigilance because I have the light that comes from your Holy Spirit. In this way he appears and illuminates my mind and my entire being, helping me face the great battles of life. Therefore, in Jesus I have full motivation to keep me faithful until the end.
My great Jesus is the Lord of glory, because he redeemed me on the cross of Calvary, so I will obey with all my strength. But I know that all my strength comes from you that sustains me at all times.
I want to end this prayer of vigilance understanding that my afflictions are passed on by other believers around the world. Then Come be with each of your servants in this land and save them all for your kingdom. I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen!
