“Israelites must celebrate Passover on its own occasion.

Celebrate it at the appointed time, at sunset on the fourteenth of this month, in accordance with all its laws and ordinances.”

Then Moses ordered the Israelites to celebrate the Passover,

and they did it in the wilderness of Sinai, at sunset on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything as the Lord had commanded Moses.

But some of them were unable to celebrate the Passover that day because they had become unclean by touching a dead body. That's why they went to Moses and Aaron that same day.

and they said to Moses: “We have become unclean because we have touched a dead body, but why should we be prevented from presenting our offering to the Lord at the appropriate time, like the other Israelites? “

Moses answered them, “Wait until I know what the Lord commands concerning you.”

Then the Lord said to Moses:

“Say this to the Israelites: When any of you or your descendants becomes unclean by touching a corpse or is away due to travel, you can still celebrate the Lord's Passover.

They must celebrate it on the fourteenth day of the second month, at sunset. They will eat the lamb with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

They will not leave anything left until morning, and they will not break any bones of the lamb. When celebrating it, obey all the laws of Easter.

However, if a man is pure and is not away due to travel and still does not celebrate the Passover, he will be eliminated from among his people because he did not present the Lord's offering at the appropriate time. He will suffer the consequences of his sin.

“A foreigner residing among you who wishes to celebrate the Lord's Passover must do so in accordance with the laws and ordinances of the Passover. You will have the same laws for the foreigner and for the native of the land.”

On the day that the tabernacle, the tent that keeps the tables of the covenant, was set up, the cloud covered it. From dusk until dawn the cloud above the tabernacle had the appearance of fire.

This is how it always happened: during the day the cloud covered it, and at night it looked like fire.

Whenever the cloud lifted from the Tent, the Israelites left; in the place where the cloud descended, there they camped.

According to the Lord's order, the Israelites left, and according to the Lord's order, they camped. As long as the cloud was over the tabernacle, they remained camped.

While the cloud remained over the tabernacle for a long time, the Israelites fulfilled their responsibilities to the Lord and did not leave.

Sometimes the cloud remained over the tabernacle for only a few days; According to the command of the Lord they camped, and also according to the command of the Lord, they set out.

Other times the cloud remained only from dusk until dawn, and when it rose in the morning, they left. Day or night, whenever the cloud lifted, they left.

Whether the cloud remained over the tabernacle for two days, or a month, or longer, the Israelites remained in the camp and did not leave; but when she got up, they left.

According to the command of the Lord they camped, and according to the command of the Lord they departed. In the meantime, they fulfilled their responsibilities to the Lord, according to his orders, announced by Moses.
