 “Say this to the Israelites: If a man or a woman makes a special vow, a vow of separation to the Lord as a Nazarite,

 You will have to abstain from wine and other fermented drinks and you will not be able to drink vinegar made from wine or any other fermented drink. You will not be able to drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins.

 As long as you are a Nazirite, you cannot eat anything that comes from the vine, not even the seeds or the bark.

 “During the entire period of your vow of separation, no blade will be used on your head. Until the period of his separation to the Lord ends, he will be consecrated and will let the hair of his head grow.

 During the entire period of his separation to the Lord, he cannot approach a dead body.

 Even if his own father or mother or sister or brother dies, he cannot become unclean because of them, for he bears on his head the symbol of his separation to God.

 During the entire period of his separation, he will be consecrated to the Lord.

 “If someone dies suddenly near him, thus contaminating the hair he consecrated, he will have to shave his head seven days later, the day of his purification.

 On the eighth day, he will bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

 The priest will offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, to make atonement for him, because he sinned by approaching a dead body. That same day the Nazirite will reconsecrate his head.

 He will dedicate himself to the Lord for the period of his separation and will bring a one-year-old lamb as a reparation offering. The previous days will not be counted because it was contaminated during their separation.

 “This is the ritual of the Nazirite when the period of his separation ends: he will be brought to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.

 There he shall present his offering to the Lord: a one-year-old lamb without blemish as a burnt offering, a one-year-old ewe lamb without blemish as a sin offering, a ram without blemish as a fellowship offering.

 together with his grain offering, with his water offering, and with a basket of unleavened bread with cakes made of the finest flour mixed with oil, and fine loaves smeared with oil.

 “The priest will present them to the Lord and will offer the sacrifice for sin and the holocaust.

 He will present the basket of unleavened bread and offer the lamb as a communion sacrifice to the Lord, along with the grain offering and the spilled offering.

 “Then, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the Nazarite will shave off the hair he has consecrated and throw it into the fire that is beneath the sacrifice of the communion offering.

 “After the Nazarite shaves his consecrated hair, the priest will place in his hands a cooked shoulder of the ram, a cake and a piece of fine bread taken from the basket, both without yeast.

 The priest will move them before the Lord as a ritual gesture of presentation; They are holy and belong to the priest, as well as the breast that was moved and the thigh. After that the Nazirite will be able to drink wine.

 “This is the ritual of the Nazarite vow and the offering dedicated to the Lord according to his separation, not counting anything else he may dedicate. He will fulfill the vow he made in accordance with the Nazarite ritual.”

 The Lord said to Moses:

 “Say to Aaron and his sons: This is how you will bless the Israelites:

 “The Lord bless you and keep you;

 the Lord make his face shine upon you and grant you grace;

 may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

 “So they will call on my name over the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
