“Listen, Lord, to my words, consider my groaning.
Pay attention to my cry for help, my King and my God, for it is you I beg.
In the morning you hear, Lord, my cry; In the morning I present my prayer to you and I wait with hope.
You are not a God who takes pleasure in injustice; with you evil cannot dwell.
The arrogant are not accepted in your presence; you hate all who do evil.
You destroy the liars; the Lord detests murderers and treacherous people.
But I, because of your great love, will enter your house; with fear I will bow to your holy temple.
Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness, because of my enemies; make your way clear before me.
There is no trustworthy word on their lips; their minds only plot destruction. Their throats are an open tomb; with their tongues they subtly deceive.
Condemn them, O God! Let them fall by their own machinations. Drive them out because of their many crimes, for they have rebelled against you.
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; always sing for joy! Extend your protection over them. Let those who love your name exult in you.
For you, Lord, bless the righteous; your favor protects him like a shield.”
