Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill: but whosoever killeth shall be in danger of the judgment.

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment; and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be in danger of the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,

Leave your gift there before the altar, and go and be reconciled to your brother first, and then come and offer your gift.

Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary hand you over to the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

Truly I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the last farthing..

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
