“Again he sent other servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my banquet: my oxen and my fattened calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet!’
“But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them.
The king was angry and sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited were not worthy.
Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet everyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered together all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. And he asked him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes? ’ The man was speechless.
“Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot and throw him outside, into the darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are called, but few are chosen“.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day
As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
