And he answering said unto them, He that soweth good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; and the good seed are the children of the kingdom; and the weeds are the children of the evil one;

The enemy, who sowed it, is the devil; and the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be in the consummation of this world.

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom everything that offends and those who do iniquity.

And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
