Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and went on a trip.
At harvest time, he sent a servant to the farmers to receive from them some of the fruit of the vineyard.

But they caught him and beat him, and sent him away empty-handed. Then he sent another servant to them; and they hit him on the head and humiliated him

And he sent another, whom they killed. He sent many others; Some they beat, others they killed.

“He still had one left to send: his beloved son. Finally he sent him, saying: 'They will respect my son.'

“But the farmers said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours'

So they seized him, and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. “What will the owner of the vineyard do then? He will come and kill those farmers and give the vineyard to others“.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
