Peace be with us.
And they, astonished and frightened, thought they saw some spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled, and why do such thoughts come into your hearts?

See my hands and my feet, that I am myself; touch me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.

And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
And when they still did not believe because of their joy, and were astonished, he said to them:

Do you have anything to eat here?
Then they presented him with part of a roasted fish, and a honeycomb; Which he took, and ate before them.

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you while I was yet with you: That all things must be fulfilled which were written of me in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms.

Then he opened their understanding to understand the Scriptures. And he said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved the Christ to suffer, and on the third day to rise from the dead,
And in his name repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
And of these things are you witnesses

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
