Then Mary, taking a bundle of pure spikenard ointment, very expensive, anointed Jesus' feet, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the smell of the ointment.

Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, who was about to betray him, said:

Leave her; He kept this for the day of my burial;
For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.

And many people of the Jews heard that he was there; and they went, not only for Jesus' sake, but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

And the chief priests took counsel to kill Lazarus also; Because many of the Jews, because of him, went and believed in Jesus“.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
