“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

Adverts

And before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

And he will put the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then the King will say to those on his right:

Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you welcomed me;

I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you visited me.

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you? or thirsty and give you something to drink?’

And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King will answer and say to them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye did it unto me.

Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

For I was hungry, and you gave me no food; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you did not welcome me; naked, and you did not clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.

Then they also will answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to you?

Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.
And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
