“Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a fence around it, dug a winepress and built a tower.

Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and went on a trip.
When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the farmers to receive the fruits that belonged to him.
“The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. Then he sent more servants to them, and the tenants treated them in the same way.
Finally, he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'
“But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir.
Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance.' So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
“Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”

They replied, “He will put those wicked men to a horrible death and lease the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share at harvest time.”
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes.’
“Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruits. Whoever falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus' parables, they understood that he was speaking about them.
And they sought a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because they considered him a prophet.“.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day
As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
