“And they departed from there, and passed through Galilee: but he would not that any man should know it.

And he taught his disciples, saying, The Son of Man is delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him; and after his death he will rise again three days.

But they did not understand these words; and they were afraid to ask him.
Then they returned to Capernaum. When he was in the house, Jesus asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”

But they kept quiet, for on the way they had argued among themselves about who would be the greatest.

And he sat down, and called the twelve, and said unto them, If any man would be first, let him be last of all, and servant of all. And he took a little child, and set him in the midst of them; and he took him in his arms, and said unto them,

Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me receives not me but him who sent me..

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
