For a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, when she heard of him, came and fell at his feet.

Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by nation, and she begged him that he would cast the demon out of her daughter.

But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”

But she answered and said unto him, Yea, Lord: yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.

Then he said to her, “For this word, go; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” And she came to her house and found her daughter lying on the bed with the demon gone out..

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
