“The apostles gathered around Jesus and told him everything they had done and taught.

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

And they went away in a boat by themselves to a desert place. And the multitude saw them departing, and many recognized him; and they ran thither on foot from all the cities, and got there before them, and came to him.

And Jesus went out and saw a great multitude, and had compassion on them, because they were as sheep without a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things..

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
