“And on that day, when evening came, he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side.

Adverts

And they left the multitude, and took him with them in the boat, even as he was: and there were other little boats with him.

And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.

And he was in the stern, asleep on a cushion: and they awoke him, saying unto him, Master, careth thou not that we perish?

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and it was very calm.

Adverts

And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? have ye no faith?
And they were filled with great fear, and said to one another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
