And they were watching him to see if he would be safe on the Sabbath, that they might accuse him.
And he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Get up and come forward.”

And he said to them, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? And they held their peace.

And he looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
