So Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

But I also now know that whatever you ask of God, God will give it to you.
Jesus said to him: Your brother will rise again.

Martha said to him: I know that he will rise again in the resurrection of the last day.
Jesus said to him: I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live;

And everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?
She said to him: Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
