But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
To him the gatekeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
But a stranger they will by no means follow, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.
Jesus told them this parable, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.

Then Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door for the sheep.
All who ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
I am the door; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.“.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day
As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
