” Calling a child, he placed him in their midst,

and said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

“Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Adverts

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones! For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my heavenly Father.

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that is lost?

And if he finds it, I assure you, he will be happier about that sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that one of these little ones should perish.”

Matthew 18:1-5,10,12-14

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through believing in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10;17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
