\u201cNow when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors where the disciples had gathered together, for fear of the Jews, were closed, Jesus came and stood in the midst and said to them: Peace be with you. .<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus therefore said to them again: Peace be with you; just as the Father sent me, I also send you.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them: Receive the Holy Spirit.
\n\u201cthose whose sins you forgive are forgiven; and from whom you withhold them, they are withheld.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. Then the other disciples said unto him, We have seen the Lord. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But he said unto them, Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands, and put my finger in the place of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe him.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And eight days later his disciples were inside again, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being closed, and stood in the midst, and said: Peace be with you.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Then he said to Thomas: Put your finger here, and see my hands; and reach your hand, and lay it on my side; and do not be unbelievers, but believers.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord, and my God! Jesus said to him: Because you saw me, Thomas, you believed; Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus therefore also performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But these were written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that, believing, you might have life in his name.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle.
