\u201cAnd the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered together to him.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And when they saw that some of His disciples were eating bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed hands, they rebuked them.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, preserving the tradition of the ancients, do not eat without washing their hands many times;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And when they come back from the market, if they don't wash, they don't eat. And there are many other things which they were given to observe, such as washing the cups, and the pitchers, and the metal vessels, and the beds.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Then the Pharisees and the scribes asked him: Why do not your disciples walk according to the tradition of the ancients, but eat bread with unwashed hands?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And he answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied concerning you hypocrites, as it is written: These people honor me with their lips,But their heart is far from me;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But in vain they honor me, Teaching doctrines that are the commandments of men.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For leaving the commandment of God, you hold fast the tradition of men; like washing pitchers and cups; and you do many other things like these.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And he said to them: You are making void the commandment of God to keep your tradition.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

For Moses said, Honor your father and your mother; and whoever curses, either his father or his mother, will certainly die.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But you say: If a man says to his father or his mother: That which you could benefit from me is Corban, that is, an offering to the Lord;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You let him do nothing more for his father or his mother,
\nThus invalidating the word of God by your tradition, which you ordained. And you do many things like these<\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle.
