Knowing this, Jesus withdrew from that place.

Many followed him, and he healed all the sick among them, warning them not to tell them who he was.

This happened to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah: “Behold my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom I delight. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim righteousness to the nations.

He will not argue or shout; no one will hear your voice in the streets.

He will not break the bruised reed, he will not quench the smoking flax, until he brings justice to victory.

In his name the nations will put their hope.”

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
