“And when it was evening, his disciples went down to the sea.

And getting into the boat, they crossed the sea toward Capernaum; and it was already dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.

And the sea rose, because a great wind was blowing.

And when they had sailed about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat; and they were afraid. But he said to them:

It's me, don't be afraid. Then they of good mind received him into the boat; and soon the boat reached the land where they were going.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
