Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and went on a trip.
As harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the farmers to receive the fruits that belonged to him.
“The husbandmen seized his servants; They beat one, killed another and stoned the third. Then he sent more servants to them, and the farmers treated them in the same way.
Finally, he sent his son to them, saying: 'They will respect my son.'
“But when the farmers saw the son, they said to one another, 'This is the heir.
Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance.' So they grabbed him, threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
“So when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers? “

They replied: “He will kill these wicked people in a horrible way and rent the vineyard to other farmers, who will give him their share at harvest time.”
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read the Scriptures? 'The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; This comes from the Lord, and it is a wonderful thing for us.'
“Therefore I tell you that the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and will be given to a people who bear the fruits of the Kingdom. Whoever falls on this stone will be dashed to pieces, and whoever it falls on will be reduced to dust.”
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus' parables, they understood that he was talking about them.
And they were looking for a way to arrest him; but they were afraid of the crowds, because they considered him a prophet“.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day
As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
