Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand, touched him and said, “I want it. Be purified! ” Immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
Then Jesus fired him, with a stern warning:
“Look, don’t tell anyone this.
But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony.”
He, however, went out and began to make the fact public, spreading the news.
