And it came to pass, as they were talking among themselves, and asking questions of one another, that Jesus himself approached, and went with them.
But their eyes were as if closed, so that they did not know him. And he said to them: What are these words that you exchange among yourselves as you walk, and why are you sad?
And one, whose name was Cleopas, answered and said unto him, Art thou only a sojourner in Jerusalem, and knowest not the things that have happened there these days?

It is true that some women among us also marveled at us, who went to the tomb early in the morning;
And when they did not find his body, they returned, saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who say that he lives.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day
As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
