Jesus replied: “Do you think that these Galileans were more sinful than all the others, because they suffered in this way?
I tell you no! But if you do not repent, you will all also perish.

Or do you think that those eighteen who died when the tower of Siloam fell on them were more guilty than all the other inhabitants of Jerusalem?

I tell you no! But if you do not repent, you will all also perish.” Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit in it, and found none.

So I said to the one tending the vineyard: 'I've been looking for fruit on this fig tree for three years now and I can't find any. Cut it! Why let it make the land useless? '

The man replied, 'Sir, leave it for another year, and I will dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, great! If not, cut it off' “.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
