If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love;

just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

I have told you this, so that my joy may remain in you, and your joy may be complete.

My commandment is this: That you love one another, as I have loved you.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You will be my friends if you do what I command you.

I will no longer call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because everything I heard from my Father I have made known to you.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain;

so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will grant it to you.
This I command you: That you love one another

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
