Father, glorify your name. Then came a voice from heaven saying: I have glorified him, and I will glorify him again.

Now the crowd that was there and heard it said that it had been thunder. Others said: An angel spoke to him.

Jesus answered and said, This voice came not for my sake, but for your sake.

Now is the judgment of this world; Now the prince of this world will be expelled.
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to me.

And he said this, meaning what death he would die.
The crowd answered him:

We have heard from the law, that the Christ abideth for ever; and how sayest thou that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

Jesus therefore said unto them, The light is yet with you a little while. Walk while you have light, so that darkness does not overtake you; for he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
