So many people gathered there, so that there was no place even at the door; and he preached the word to them.

Some men came, bringing him a paralytic, carried by four of them.

Unable to take him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed part of the covering from the place where Jesus was and, through an opening in the ceiling, lowered the stretcher on which the paralyzed man was lying.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
