He said to them: Great is the harvest, but few are the workers. Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers into his harvest.

Go; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.
Do not carry a bag, backpack, or shoes and do not greet anyone along the way.

In every house you enter, first say: Peace to this house!
If there is a peaceful man there, your peace will rest on him; but if there is not, it will return to you.

Stay in the same house, eat and drink whatever they have, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.

Whatever city you enter and they welcome you, eat whatever is served to you.

Heal the sick who are there and say to them: The Kingdom of God is at hand.

The Importance of the Gospel of the Day

As Christians, we place a high value on God’s Word. It is through belief in the Word of God that we are saved (Rm 10:17). The Word of God then becomes our guide for life in all circumstances, whether in employment, in social life or even in the family circle. Our aspiration should be to live by the Word of God.
